The Northumberland Orchestral Society (NOS), based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was founded in 1877 and is one of the oldest amateur orchestras in England. We are a lively society of musicians from all backgrounds and walks of life with one thing in common – we love to rehearse and perform a wide variety of orchestral music. We rehearse weekly during term time at Jesmond United Reformed Church in Newcastle, and usually give three concerts a year.
